The sisterhood of Alpha Phi stretches from coast to coast through 164 collegiate campuses and more than 200,000 members. Sisters share a commitment to excellence and a strong desire to help one another and their communities. Alpha Phis are leaders, scholars, contributors and lifetime members of a sisterhood that values these traits.

Alpha Phi assists college women in making informed choices to reach their highest potential. Alpha Phi enhances and promotes each member's development and learning by focusing on sisterhood, service, scholarship, leadership, loyalty and character development.

The innovative leadership and organizational practices of Alpha Phi's Founders in 1872 set the spirit for the Alpha Phi of today...a sisterhood that values the past but looks forward to the progress offered by the future.

Beta Theta Pi has the purpose of promoting the moral and social culture of its members, establishing confidence and friendly relations between students of various colleges and universities, and perpetuating a fraternity that recognizes mutual assistance in the honorable labors and aspirations of life, unsullied friendship, unfaltering fidelity and the cultivation of intellect, as objects worthy of the highest aim and purposes of associated efforts.

Truth
Truth is fundamental to any organization, but truth is particularly critical to Delta Tau Delta because honest relationships are mandatory for Brotherhood. Telling the truth to yourself and others is fundamental to your commitment to a life of personal and professional excellence.

Courage
Courage means aggressively taking on challenges and being a leader in the face of adversity. It means caring for the lives of the people around you and understanding that something saying, "No" is a necessary act of responsibility and love for your Brothers and the Fraternity as a whole.

Faith
Faith is a belief in yourself that what you are doing is right. Whether your faith comes from yourself, your parents or you God is up to you. Faith also means being loyal and trusting among people. It means knowing that people will make correct choices and decisions provided they have the necessary information and they understand the consequences of their actions.

Power
Power is the inherent ability and talents of each member as valuable resources. These qualities and talents give Delta Tau Delta the power and energy to continue looking and moving toward a grand future.

Kappa Alpha Theta was founded in 1870 as the first Greek-letter fraternity for women. We value our history and our long tradition of leading the way for women's groups and women in higher education.

Theta is a sisterhood of unique, confident, ambitious, and determined women. Our tag line—Leading Women—personifies those values and reflects the way we influence positive change on campuses and communities around the world.

The values of Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity are scholarship, service, leadership, personal excellence, and friendship/sisterhood. The aim is threefold—intellectually, the highest scholarship; socially, the widest influence for good; and the Moral Code is love.

On USD's campus, Alpha Rho has a long legacy of leading campus organizations and being involved in nearly every organization on campus. Alpha Rho also has achieved top GPA for 52 of the past 55 semesters.

Welcome to the South Dakota Alpha chapter of Phi Delta Theta. Phi Delta Theta has the purpose of pushing all brothers to become the greatest versions of themselves. Phi Delta Theta was organized with three guiding principles: The cultivation of friendship among its members, the acquirement of a high degree of mental culture, and the attainment of a high standard of morality. In other words: Friendship, Sound Learning, and Moral Rectitude. Here at the South Dakota Alpha Chapter we live out these principles through activities such as philanthropic events, leadership development, and brotherhood. WELCOME TO PIKE! PIKES are leading the way at USD – and beyond. For 150 years, Pi Kappa Alpha has brought out the best in its members. PIKE is more than 275,000-lifetime members strong. There are more than 15,000 undergraduate members around North America.

At the University of South Dakota, Pi Kappa Alpha stands strong. PIKE strives to set the standard of integrity, intellect, and achievement by encouraging members to live the values taught by our fraternity. We are proud to be a part of the legacy of Pi Kappa Alpha.

Our charity of choice is Cure Kids Cancer. During the 2024-25 academic year, our brothers raised over $44,000 for charitable causes and dedicated over 12,100 community service hours. PIKES hold over 50 leadership roles on campus. 100% of our brothers are involved in at least one student organization in addition to our fraternity. PIKES received over $150,000 in scholarship this past academic year.
