This is a great way to support the cause if you can't be there, or you don't have a team of 8 people. The Funnel is coming to USD on September 30, 2026!! Join us during Dakota Days in the Muenster University Center Ballroom to "unite for good," remembering those we lost on 9/11, and "taking back the day" to to create positivity out of tragedy, to pack meals for our local communities! We will be bringing together students, faculty, staff, community and alumni together to high-five and dance their way through packaging 50,000 meals, learn about the importance of 9/11 Remembrance Day, and squash food insecurity across Coyote nation!
There will be 3 different one-hour shifts to sign up for: 3pm, 4:15pm and 5:30pm.
Please note, there are also THREE DIFFERENT sign ups provided:
1. For individuals to sign up for ONE spot per shift at a Funnel - there are eight volunteers at each Funnel.
2. For Vermillion businesses, campus departments, USD Alumni, and community members to reserve a Funnel (8 spots), which costs $50 per Funnel per shift.
-This will ensure that you get to party with your organization, team, family, etc.
-Your VIP location will be reserved with your group's name, and your group will be mentioned in opening speeches.
-Please do NOT have your team members sign up as individuals - we will reach out to get your list of names and will add them for you - only the contact person for each group will register using the "Reserve a Funnel."
-Any group can purchase/reserve more than one Funnel per shift.
3. For those who want to contribute to the cause, but cannot volunteer in person to sponsor a Funnel ($50 minimum) or make a monetary donation of any amount.
-Contributions of $50 or more will be listed on publications and donors will be mentioned and thanked during opening speeches.
NOTE: Those who sign up to reserve/purchase a Funnel, to sponsor a Funnel or make a monetary donation, will be contacted by our office to complete the transaction.
-There is no fee to sign up for a single volunteer spot.
